I’m here to tell you that if you marry the right person, there will actually be more money for books, because sometimes your spouse will buy a book you wanted to read, so then you can buy another one. Just happened in my house with The Keep by Jennifer Egan and Broken Harbor by Tana French.
So my advice here is: if you love books, marry someone who also loves books.
